Before you start
- For a transfer: the new Owner must already be an active member. Pending invitations can’t receive ownership.
- A passkey or authenticator app on your account, to confirm the transfer.
What changes when ownership moves
The new Owner controls billing, plan changes, ownership, and Workspace deletion, and you become an Admin. The payment method and subscription continue unchanged, because billing stays with the Workspace, not with a person.
Steps
Transfer ownership
Step 1: Open Team
In the sidebar under Workspace, choose Team, then choose Transfer Ownership on your row.
Step 2: Choose the new Owner
Choose an active member and choose Continue to Verification.
Step 3: Confirm it’s you
Confirm with a passkey or an authenticator code. Both of you are notified when the transfer completes.
Leave a Workspace
Step 4: Open Settings
In the sidebar under Workspace, choose Settings, then Leave Workspace…, and confirm. You lose access to every Project and report in the Workspace immediately. Your past edits stay attributed to you, and an Owner or Admin can invite you back later.
What you should see
After a transfer, Team shows the new Owner and your role as Admin. After you leave, the Workspace no longer appears in your Workspace list.
