Reports & PDF Exports

Reviewing a report and exporting its PDF

Read and edit the draft, have an Owner or Admin finalize it, then create a PDF to send. Creating a PDF uses one PDF export; downloading an existing one doesn’t.

Needed to perform these steps

Before you start

  • A generated report in Reports.
  • A PDF export available. Trial: one regular PDF export in total, which doesn’t reset. Paid plans: 20, 75, 200, or 600 PDF exports per month from Starter to Scale.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open the report

Choose Reports and open the report. New reports open as a draft.

  2. Step 2: Review and edit

Choose Edit to change the explanatory text, then Save Draft. Scores, evidence, confidence, and provenance are protected and can’t be edited, and editing never recalculates a score. Version history lets you restore an earlier checkpoint. Review any regenerated content before you finalize.

  3. Step 3: Finalize

An Owner or Admin chooses Finalize. Members choose Send for Review to ask them. Finalizing locks the version; later edits create a new version and never change existing PDFs or published snapshots.

  4. Step 4: Choose Export PDF

Choose Export PDF, then Regular PDF or White-Label PDF. A White-Label PDF uses your published Workspace brand.

Creating a new PDF uses 1 PDF export. Downloading an existing one doesn’t, and a failed PDF doesn’t count.

  5. Step 5: Create and download

Choose Create PDF. You can ask Prooflin to email you when the export finishes. When the file is ready, download it; the report keeps every export so you can download it again later.

What you should see

The PDF downloads, and the report lists the export so you can download it again without using another PDF export.
