Before you start
- A finalized report. Hosted reports publish a finalized version, not the draft.
- A free active hosted report slot on the plan.
- Your brand settings saved, if the report should carry your branding.
Steps
Publish
Step 1: Open the finalized report and choose Publish
The dialog confirms that it publishes a fixed snapshot of the report.
Step 2: Choose the options
Choose whether to hide the report from search engines (noindex) and whether to require a password. The report uses your current published brand version, white-label or with Prooflin attribution.
Publish
Publishes a fixed snapshot. Later edits don’t change it until you republish.
✓Hide from search engines (noindex)✓Require a passwordIN THE PROOFLIN APP Step 3: Publish and share the link
Choose Publish Snapshot, then Copy Link and send it to your client. The link is prooflin.com/r/ followed by an opaque ID. If you set a password, share it separately.
Republish
Step 4: Reopen, edit, and finalize a new version
Choose Reopen as New Version, make your changes, and finalize. Visitors still see the published snapshot.
Step 5: Publish the new version
Publish the new version and send the new link. Each publication has its own link, and the previous one stops working; Hosted Reports lists the old snapshot as Replaced by a newer snapshot.
Unpublish
Step 6: Choose Unpublish
In Hosted Reports, choose Unpublish and confirm. The link stops working immediately, and the hosted report slot is freed. The report itself isn’t changed.
What you should see
Hosted Reports lists each published report with Copy hosted link. Unpublished and replaced snapshots move to the inactive list.
