Hosted Reports & Custom Domains

Using a custom domain for a hosted report

Serve a published hosted report from a subdomain you control, such as reports.youragency.com. Each domain serves one published report, and custom domains never apply to the app or sign-in.

Needed to perform these steps

Before you start

  • A subdomain you control, such as reports.youragency.com. Root domains such as youragency.com aren’t accepted.
  • Access to the DNS settings for that domain, or someone who has it.
  • A published hosted report to serve on the domain.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open Custom Domains

In the sidebar under Workspace, choose Custom Domains, then Add Domain.

  2. Step 2: Enter the subdomain

Enter the subdomain only, without https:// or spaces.

  3. Step 3: Choose the report

Choose a published report. The domain serves only that published report snapshot.

  4. Step 4: Add the DNS records

Choose Check DNS Now to load the CNAME value. Add the CNAME record and the TXT record that verifies you own the domain at your DNS provider; Copy Record and Copy TXT value copy them. Some providers want only the part before your domain as the name.
