Before you start
- For an avatar: a PNG or JPG image up to 2 MB.
Steps
Step 1: Open Account
Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Account.
Step 2: Change your name
Under Name & Avatar, edit your First Name and Last Name and save. Your name is shown to teammates in every Workspace you belong to.
Step 3: Add an avatar
Choose Upload Avatar and pick a PNG or JPG up to 2 MB. You can replace or remove it later.
Step 4: Start an email change
Enter the New Email Address and choose Send Code to New Address. Prooflin asks for a recent passkey or authenticator check first.
Step 5: Confirm the new address
Enter the Verification Code from the new address. Your current address keeps working until the new one is verified.
What you should see
Teammates see your updated name and avatar. After an email change, sign-in codes go to the new address, and Prooflin notifies both addresses.
Common problems
Add one in Sign-In & Security first.
Try a different address. If you own it and think this is a mistake, contact Prooflin from that address.
Request a new code and enter it.
No. Google never changes or links your account on its own; link Google from Sign-In & Security.
Recovery-code sessions can’t change your name, avatar, or email. Restore full access first.
