Creating, archiving, restoring, and deleting Projects

A Project groups one client’s audits, files, and reports. Archive a Project to free an active slot without losing anything, restore it when you need it again, or delete an archived Project permanently.

Plan
Active projects: 1 on the Trial, 3 on Starter, 10 on Professional, 30 on Agency, 100 on Scale
Role
Owner, Admin, or Member to create; Owner or Admin to archive and restore; Owner to delete

Needed to perform these steps

Before you start

  • An active Trial or plan. New Projects can’t be created until the Owner verifies a card for the Trial or chooses a plan.
  • A free active Project slot, to create or restore a Project.

What archiving and deleting do

Project lifecycle
ActionWhat happens
ArchiveHides the Project from the active list and frees its active Project slot. Reports and files are kept read-only, and published hosted reports stay live until you unpublish them. Nothing is deleted.
RestoreReturns the Project to the active list. It needs a free active Project slot.
DeleteRemoves an archived Project from the Workspace and disables its public report links. Only the Owner can delete, and it can’t be undone in the app.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Choose New Project

    In Projects, choose New Project.

  2. Step 2: Name the Project

Enter a Project Name your client will recognise, because it appears on reports and PDFs. Add the client or business and notes such as audience, goals, and tone if they help, then choose Create Project.

  3. Step 3: Edit the details later

Open the Project, change its details, and choose Save Changes.

  4. Step 4: Archive a Project

Open the Project, choose Archive Project, and confirm. Archived Projects are listed separately in Projects.

  5. Step 5: Restore a Project

Open the archived Project and choose Restore Project.

  6. Step 6: Delete an archived Project

Choose Delete Project… and confirm. Deleting is a sensitive change, so Prooflin asks you to confirm it’s you with a passkey or authenticator.

What you should see

Active Projects appear in Projects. Archived Projects are listed separately, stay read-only, and don’t use active capacity.
